Kids at the sluiceFor Kids

Bring the kids for special mineral-related activities presented by museum educators and enthusiastic members of local rock clubs, held in the museum classrooms!  Saturday and Sunday's activities are open to the public.

Friday's activities are reserved for pre-registered groups. Organized school, scout, and 4H groups are welcome.To schedule your group for Children's Activities, contact Angie Stokes at 412-622-3238 or stokesa@CarnegieMNH.org.

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES AREA
(all giveaways while supplies last)
• Pan for gems at a working sluice
• See a miniature working mine and keep the specimen that is delivered in a mine car
• Learn about pearls and take one home
• Play the Birthstone Game

Carnegie Museum of Natural History is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm. Except for July and August, the Museum is closed on Mondays.
